Lobster Pictures are looking for a First Line Support Technician. Based at our offices in the centre of Bristol, UK, you would be joining a passionate, highly motivated team, who work in a creative environment to produce brilliant and beautiful products for our clients. Lobster Pictures produces the world’s best time lapse and monitoring camera system and software: The Lobster Pot camera and Lobster Vision viewer. Our systems let people view, share and document major projects, anywhere - from everywhere. You will be providing support to our IT and production team to log and manage support tickets, carry out troubleshooting and basic system configuration. Our ideal candidate will have experience working in a mixed OS environment and you’ll need a strong understanding of network topology, as well as routing and TCP/IP problem solving. Strong communication skills, both internally and with clients, are essential. Some knowledge of using cellular WAN connections and VPNs would be advantageous, Linux and Mac OS X skills are also highly desirable. We’re a small (but fast expanding) company, so being able to pitch in with a wide variety of tasks is essential. A large portion of the Lobster Pot camera system is manufactured in house, so if you can solder, that’s a plus. We are offering a salary of £12-14k pa based on experience, interesting and varied work, great support and training and the potential for rapid progression.
