We’re looking for a Junior Project Manager/Resource Planner to join our busy and enthusiastic team based in central Bristol. You will be responsible for the day to day scheduling of our Engineering team and liaising with clients to ensure all of our operations run seamlessly, both in the UK and overseas.
Reporting to the Sales Director your responsibilities will include:
- Day to day scheduling of Engineers and vehicles in a time and cost efficient way. - Delivering relevant and timely communication to key stakeholders, both internal and external. - Building, developing and growing any business relationships vital to the success of a project. - Liaising with sales department, Engineers, clients and third parties. - Co-ordination with site managers regarding the delivery of equipment and plant. - Ensure all appropriate documentation is agreed and completed throughout the project. - Escalate project issues to the appropriate person or team as needed. - Act as a mediator between client and team members when applicable. - Procuring equipment, hiring plant and arranging delivery to site, in co-ordination with Site Managers. - Creating and maintaining relevant project files on our internal Project Management software. - Managing projects through the full lifecycle from sales to implementation and closure. - Set realistic client expectations and timelines from project kickoff onwards. - Define the deliverables, resource requirements for the project and manage their successful delivery. - Identifying and proactively managing changes to the scope and change in general within a project. - Identifying and resolving/managing issues and risks within a project and devising contingency plans where appropriate.
- Ideal for someone with experience in an engineering or construction related environment looking to work towards a formal Project Management qualification in a busy, fast paced and varied role. - 2-3 years experience in a similar role. - Ability to multi task and to handle multiple projects. - Service oriented. - Great problem solving, negotiation and influencing skills. - Adaptable to the changing schedules and client needs or large projects. - Excellent communication skills with both internal and external contacts. - Good people management skills. - Confident manner and great attention to detail required. - Willingness to evolve the role. - Ability to plan, prioritise and organise own time.
Salary - £20-25k depending on experience
