To showcase their new extension, Tate Modern have built an HD projection system that shows footage from their Lobster Pot camera. There’s also a dedicated Lobster Vision kiosk there. Go visit now! We’ve also been commissioned to place a camera on the 6m architectural model of the extension being built. The latest image and video is also available here.

We put up our fourth camera for a client in the UAE. Once again, air conditioned, solar powered, 21 megapixel, tested for 50°C heat - this time with a cellular connection.

We moved the camera we have at Brighton and Hove Albion’s new stadium build at Falmer. The camera is here. We’ve deployed an amazing fuel-cell system, so the camera runs on methanol.

We visited China to install a camera at an aluminium rolling mill under construction, for Chalco Ruimin and Siemens. A great experience, helped a lot by the brilliant team on site. We then got stuck with the ash cloud, and spent a few days in Washington DC waiting for the sky to clear…

Michael and Justin had an extremely busy week in UAE. We installed two more cameras on the CPECC project - with one more to go. These are very specialised builds - solar powered, air conditioned, with full control and monitoring from our UK office. One of the two is cellular, at a camp in the middle of the desert. We also recce’d two sites in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain for a major new client.

We’ve moved to a lovely new office in Queen Square. It needed quite a lot of work, so with all the other business happening at the moment, it’s been a hectic month. Still, we’re settled now, and the new office has a much better workshop space, and room to expand. Get in touch if you’d like to drop in for a cup of tea.

To complement our two Lobster Pot cameras at Sunderland Infirmary, recording a modular hospital construction, we have two time lapse shooters monitoring the site with ’standalone’ cameras over the next three weeks. This will end up as a cut film, much like the work we produced for Bradford Royal Infirmary in 2008.
