60 Curzon Street is a luxury residential development on Curzon Street in Mayfair, London. The Art Deco-inspired scheme, designed by PLP Architecture for Brockton Capital consists of 32 luxury apartments built round a landscaped south-facing courtyard garden. The delivery of the scheme was led by John F Hunt for the demolition and Balfour Beatty taking on the main works package.
Keeping international investors in the loop with how the project is progressing is vital to Brockton Capital. The team needed a way to automate stakeholder updates that was less time-intensive as previous methods – which reliably could capture, store, and host the imagery online with sharing tools.
Lobster Pictures were appointed to install three cameras on the project, starting from August 2016. Over the next seven years Lobster Pictures helped Brockton Capita to monitor and record the project from demolition to completion in 2023. The ability to download date-stamped, high resolution images, safely stored for 12 months after PC were the driving force behind choosing Lobster Pictures.
“We have foreign investors and it’s important that we can show them exactly what is going on; we have Lobster Vision primarily for them. Luckily there haven’t been any disputes, but it’s a real asset and very useful knowing we have it if the need arises.”
