The Whiteley is a £1bn redevelopment in Bayswater, which is transforming the Whiteley’s iconic Grade II Listed department store from the 1980s into a new, residential and hotel mixed-use scheme featuring 100,000sqft space of retail, gym, spa and cinema facilities.
On a scheme of this magnitude, there are many contractors and subcontractors required to deliver a successful project on time. Changes to the project programme require a significant amount of coordination and planning – and management of disputes is often time-intensive and tricky to navigate.
Gardiner & Theobald appointed Lobster Pictures to capture and monitor the project, with seven cameras required across the four year scheme. The online platform allowed for a seamless experience giving unlimited users the ability to navigate to exact times and dates in the past – making dispute resolution a fast and painless task.
“We’ve had four cameras de-rigged with three still up and running, it’s saved me a lot of time not having to go out onsite and take hundreds of photos every day. We’ve had a few issues on the job to do with programming and needing evidence for disputes. Being able to add new users with our own user admin has been a great asset for this.”
